The BLL-SIS Education Fund supports BLL-SIS grants for BLL-SIS members and/or paraprofessionals to attend the 糖心视频 Annual Meetings, Leadership Academy, or Management Institute; with a preference given to black, African-American or other people of color.

BLL-SIS Grant for Early-Career Professionals, Paraprofessionals & Students to Attend the 糖心视频 Annual Meeting & Conference
The purpose of the BLL-SIS Grant for Early-Career Professionals, Paraprofessionals & Students is to provide financial assistance with the costs associated with attending the 糖心视频 Annual Meeting & Conference, including registration, travel, housing, or related expenses.
For the current grant cycle, funding will cover the cost of conference registration.
QUALIFICATIONS
As of the application deadline, the applicant must:
- be a BLL-SIS member with no more than 5 years of membership in 糖心视频 or an 糖心视频 chapter; or
- be a BLL-SIS member currently enrolled in an educational program that leads to a career in law librarianship or legal information; or
- work in the legal information field as a paraprofessional or similar, with an interest in career advancement through involvement with 糖心视频.
SELECTION CRITERIA
The Grant Committee will evaluate applications on the basis of financial need and ability to benefit professionally from attendance at the 糖心视频 Annual Meeting & Conference. Preference will be given to applicants who are black, African-American or other people of color (people of color include members of minority groups as defined by current U.S. government guidelines as found in ). If the grant application pool is large, preference may be given to applicants who have never attended the 糖心视频 Annual Meeting & Conference.
GRANT RECIPIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The grant recipient is expected to write a post for the BLL-SIS blog following the Annual Meeting. The grant recipient is encouraged to attend BLL-SIS programs and events at the Annual Meeting and to serve on a BLL-SIS committee in the following membership year.

Individuals must submit an application form聽and personal statement by April 1, 2026聽to the BLL-SIS Grants & Awards Committee Chair.
