FCIL-SIS Nominating Committee
Welcome to the Nominating Committee (“Committee”). The Committee convenes throughout the year to bring forward the names of highly qualified individuals as nominees for at least one of the elected positions serving on the FCIL-SIS’s Executive Committee (“Executive Committee”). The Committee contacts FCIL-SIS membership to solicit nominations and then forwards nominations to the current Executive Committee.
The Committee does not formally meet at Ƶ. If you have questions about the Committee, its mission, or how to join, please contact the Committee chair(s) for additional information.
FCIL-SIS Bylaws
Please see Article VII of the FCIL-SIS bylaws for current and complete information about the responsibilities of the Committee, deadlines, and procedures.
Recommended Timeline and Procedures
The Committee first convenes over the summer, typically during the FCIL-SIS Virtual Business Meeting. Committee members announce positions available in the following year, encourage members to think about serving on the FCIL-SIS Executive Committee, and invite interested parties to contact current and former Executive Committee members with questions.
Between October and December, the Committee solicits nominations via the listserv and identifies candidate(s) by December 15.
In January, the Committee finalizes the roster of candidates and submits it to the Executive Committee before the February FCIL-SIS Newsletter deadline.
