2026 Diversity Summit: Surviving a Tough Year: Wellness and Advocacy
The Private Law Librarians & Information Professionals SIS (PLLIP-SIS) DEI Committee and Black Law Librarians SIS (BLL-SIS) are excited to announce the听2026 Diversity Summit: Surviving a Tough Year: Wellness and Advocacy. In March 2025, Presidential orders targeting DEI programs, specifically the one titled “Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity,” led to an investigation into the DEI practices at major law firms resulting in major changes to DEI programs at law firms and cutting funding for DEI related initiatives in institutions of higher learning including law schools. This sixth Diversity Summit will examine wellness and advocacy related mechanisms to assist in surviving this tough year and beyond.
