The Private Law Librarians & Information Professionals SIS (PLLIP-SIS) DEI Committee and Black Law Librarians SIS (BLL-SIS) are excited to announce the 2026 Diversity Summit: Surviving a Tough Year: Wellness and Advocacy. In March 2025, Presidential orders targeting DEI programs, specifically the one titled "Ending Illegal Discrimination and Restoring Merit-Based Opportunity," led to an investigation into the DEI practices at major law firms resulting in major changes to DEI programs at law firms and cutting funding for DEI related initiatives in institutions of higher learning including law schools. This sixth Diversity Summit will examine wellness and advocacy related mechanisms to assist in surviving this tough year and beyond.
The Diversity Summit will be held as a virtual event on two separate days–Friday, February 27, 2026, and Friday, March 6, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. ET on both days. The deadline to register for the Diversity Summit is Friday, February 20, 2026 (with zero exceptions). Please note, check payments will no longer be accepted after Friday, February 13, 2026, and any new registrations must be paid in full with a credit card.
Complimentary registration is available for unemployed members and any ÌÇÐÄÊÓƵ member who is unable to pay due to financial restrictions by contacting Erica Miller at ericamiller@jonesday.com (subject to verification). You will receive a promo code that must be entered on the online payment form at the time of checkout.
Please note that after registering for the Summit, you must also register for the Zoom meeting(s) separately for the days you are registered using the link(s) provided on the thank you page or your registration confirmation email. If you registered for both days, you will need to register for two Zoom meetings.
