Saturday Evening Dine-Arounds

TS-SIS will be holding their Annual Dine-Arounds after the opening reception on Saturday, July 20. You will meet with your host at the at 6:45 p.m. to walk to the chosen restaurants. Each person is responsible for paying for their own meal. Whether it is your first time at the Annual Meeting or if you have recently retired, it is a great way to begin the conference with a delicious meal in the company of your fellow librarians and colleagues. Here are the restaurants and their hosts:

AI is everywhere and is touted as the “solution” for any number of problems. What are the likely impacts of AI in technical services work? Will it make our jobs easier, or harder, or put us out of our jobs? How can we talk with our administrators to educate them as to what is, and is not, a realistic expectation for use of AI in our technical services departments? Join your TS-SIS colleagues for an open discussion of AI, its promise, and its pitfalls
