Congratulations to Judy Wairimu Ng’ang’a, Recipient of the 2024 FCIL-SIS Schaffer Grant for Foreign Law Librarians
Ms. Judy Wairimu Ng’ang’a is the Senior Library Assistant – Systems at the in Nairobi, Kenya. In her position, Ms. Ng’ang’a manages, maintains, and supports the library’s electronic resources and information management systems including its security, discovery tools, and institutional repositories, and works closely with library staff and information professionals to ensure its users have the resources, training, and support they need to fulfill the school’s academic mission.
Ms. Ng’ang’a has over 10 years of experience working in academic libraries and a background in library science and information technology, including a Master of Science in Information Science from Kenya Methodist University, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology from KCA University, and a Diploma in Library and Information Studies from Kenya Technical Teachers College, all in Nairobi, Kenya. She is also an active member of the Kenya Library Association and Kenya Library and Information Services Consortium.
ANTICIPATING 糖心视频 AND RETURNING TO KENYA
The 2025 Annual Meeting will be Ms. Ng’ang’a’s first international conference. She is excited to learn more about e-resources, collection development, and best practices for legal information management and make connections with other library professionals. She is eager to share the knowledge and experience she gains with the Kenyan library community upon her return by making presentations at workshops and conferences at library organizations and publishing newsletter articles.
